Pre Treatment & Contraindications

Pre-treatment Guidelines:

• Avoid using active ingredients such as retinods, topical antibiotics or beta-hydoxy acid (salicylic) for 3-5 days prior to the treatment 

• No waxing or electrolysis to the area being treated for 5 days prior

• Avoid IPL/Laser procedures for 2 weeks prior to the treatment 

• Don’t shave the area being treated the day before treatment 

• Avoid unprotected sun exposure or sunburn at least one week before treatment 

• Wait 1 week after Botox and 2-4 weeks after dermal fillers


Contraindications:

• Skin cancer in the treatment area
• Open wounds, sores, irritated skin in the treatment area
• Have an allergy to stainless steel and anesthetics
• Have a hemorrhagic or hemophilia (bleeding) disorder or disfunction
• Are pregnant or nursing 
• Are currently taking drugs with the ingredient isotretinion (such as Accutane)
• Suffer from uncontrolled diabetes (high blood sugar)
• History of keloid scarring
• Suffer from active skin infection, including bacterial, viral, or fungal infection- suffer from infection such as hepatitis or HIV
• Have a current breakout of cold sores (herpes)


Absolute
Contraindications:

Scleroderma (skin tightness caused by inflammation), collagen vascular disease or cardiac abnormalities; rosacea or blood clotting problems; active bacterial or fungal infection; immune-suppression, and facials fillers used in the past 2-4 weeks
